This is a bottleneck for the European economy and for music artists in particular, isn’t it?
We persistently believe independent and DIY music artists and bands shall obtain (y)our plain support! Let’s offer (y)our musicians the focus they deserve: freedom of creativity and artistic expression. Therefore, we think of a transformation in fan-idol-fan relationship building & management, in engagement (cf. reward-based participation, co-creation, co-promotion) and in recurrent funding (cf. monthly ‘pay what you feel’ subscriptions) provided by top fans.
We nurture a vision: for this ‘constantly connected’, open (data) and ‘access over ownership’ digital era we’re living in, we are still convinced online collaborations won’t last without offline participations / relationships, and vice versa.
We also observe our human brain needs a well structured content flow to effectively absorb the overflow of information provided by the internet (‘vertical’ contextualized versus the chaotic ‘horizontal’ mass content networks Facebook and Twitter alike).
Due to the boom of the sharing and gift economy it’s becoming clear that people (usually Generations Z and Y, the millennials) are experiencing a mind shift in how to efficiently contribute to a more transparent and responsible community driven society. They wanna have an impact by changing old economic systems and by taking ownership of change.
Last but not least, we see the ever growing popularity of the ‘personal branding’ through ‘lifelogging’ systems (cf. life journals); watch it in daytime registering APPs (soon smartwatches) that inform your followers of how you’re living your life. On the other hand, we notice the deep concern about privacy and data ownership too.
Hence, the next generation of a social network is gonna be an on / offline contextualized ‘vertical’ - serving a niche market - and locally-driven ‘marketplace’ with social impact as a purpose, one that improves your personal brand by registering your actions and contributions, that shares them with your followers / fans and that offers you recognition in your community, one that has privacy and data ownership as a main focus.
MusicTech startup fandation® is developing a data-driven visual storytelling interface vibewall® to accelerate the careers of independent / DIY musicians and bands by addressing their top 10%-30% of fans. We incentivize the setup and the management of authentic Relationships, reward-based Engagement and subscription-based recurrent Fanfunding. We offer artists clear insights in and fans exclusive access to personal fan-idol-fan experiences. We map musicians’ bios as real-time lifelog narratives.
As fan become a #fantivist: be part of your idols’ dreams. Support a musician / a band / a scene emotionally and financially. Access their behind the scene lives (a peepshow 2.0), connect in person with your idol(s), obtain personalized premiums. Make an impact and get recognition in your community.
As musician / band build and monetize your personal brand. Easily share your daily story in your artist’s journal, that will act as your artistic archive. Bundle pictures, short videos, text and audio, and show these in a rich environment in a flick. Identify your top fans - did you realize the top 10% of fans often guarantee 90% of the revenue? - engage them and nurture them. Allow your fans to contribute to your story. Get fairly funded to pursuing your artistic dream. Manage your communication and distribute your creations through our central hub.
“Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid”
